Medical Outreach and Women Empowerment by wife of Enugu State Governor Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi with wife of Nsukka LGA Chairman.  Mrs Lilian Omeje.     
   

        
Women have been advised to pursue healthy mind and body inorder to achieve their potentials in life.  The wife of Enugu state Governor.              Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi disclosed this at the free medical outreach and empowerment of less privileged women and disabled persons inNsukka    
         
During the free medical outreach in Nsukka for the purpose of improving the health of women in the area. Mrs Ugwuanyi explained that simple lifestyle, Natural nutrition and steady medical checkups are essential habits needed by women to  reposition themselves for greater productivity.   
                                     
" We need to come together in prayer. We need to go back to eating Natural food and living healthy life. Technology has made it hard for us to appreciate Natural food. Before we cant eat food without vegetables and fruits,  Now, many sickness is due to wrong nutrition.   
                                     
“We should take advantage of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Always eat carbohydrate with vegetables to reduce the sugar level We should reduce consumption of artificial and canned foods. we should return to healthy natural  foods to prevent diseases. 
  
“Whether you are sick or not, just go for medical checkup to prevent sudden breakdown.  Pls let us go back to healthy living".

Mrs Ugwuanyi also tasked women to play their role in family building. 
   
"Pls women take care of your husbands and children. No matter the wealth of  your husband, every woman should be productive to support the family. You can start small to learn trades and skills to earn a living and support your family. Before, women are called Ori-Aku but now we are Odozi-Aku. We should wake up to help our husbands and protect our families". 

Meanwhile the wife of The Governor urged the beneficiaries to use the opportunity to uplift their lives and add value to their community.                                                                                                                    

 
Earlier in her Wellcome speech.The wife of the Chairman Nsukka LGA. Mrs Lilian Omeje thanked Mrs Ugwuanyi for touching lives and giving vulnerable people a sense of belonging in the community.

" I thank you her excellency. You are a teacher and mother of all. You counsel us both in marriage and family building.  We thank you for caring for  children , youths, widows and orphanage homes as well as  paying  school fees of less privileged in Nsukka and Enugu state.  We will continue to support your laudable efforts".  She added.   
                 
In her contribution. The Enugu state house of assembly member representing Nsukka west constituency Hon Dame Nkechi Omeje Ogbu noted that she is overjoyed by the help of          Mrs Ugwuanyi in putting smiles on the faces of less privileged in Nsukka 
  
Also Hon Chinedu Nwamba representing Nsukka east constituency commended. Mrs Ugwuanyi for the support and guidance being given to Nsukka people especially in uplifting the poor in the society.   
      

                                           
While expressing his gratitude,  The Chairman Nsukka LGA.   Chief Patrick Omeje  described the medical outreach and women empowerment as viable ways to touch lives of vulnerable citizens.  The Chairman explained that women capacity building will bring social change needed in grassroots development.   
                                   
" Her excellency Nsukka people are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Your help to women is bringing peace and happiness to homes.            We commend you for the understanding and co-operation existing among them. I saw women of great movement in Enugu because of your good leadership.  Pls continue to take care of his excellency Governor Ugwuanyi because he is important to us.       

 "I am gratefull for the opportunity His excellency gave me to serve my people. Nsukka must continue to do her best to appreciate the Governor that has done so much for us.              On behalf of Nsukka LG. we thank you".             The Chairman said.       
                                 
Meanwhile various groups showed their appreciation to the wife of the Governor including the Cordinator Nsukka women movement for Gburugburu  Hon. Barr. Christiana Onah.     
      

                                     
After the free medical screening, treatment and distribution of  essential materials like sewing machines, wheel chairs, Hair dryers, grinders, coolers, wheel barrows and assorted food items.   Some of the beneficiaries expressed their joy. 
                                            
Gloria Ugwu." I feel happy for receiving wheel chair.  I pray that God will bless and protect them and their families".                                   
Gladys Okpoye " I am grateful for getting bag of okpa and wheel barrow. God will bless them for helping the poor".                                 
 Francisca Eze. "I am so excited for collecting grinding  machine.   May God bless them for giving me hope in life".                                                Lovette Odoh " God bless them for giving me coolers".                                                                 Stella Ndidiamaka " I am filled with joy for receiving sewing machine. Since I finished school I have been trying to start my tailoring business God bless them for giving me the opportunity ".      Nnenna Isiani." I recieved hair dryer machine. I pray God will continue to reward them".                    Sister Maria Ukeje . Orphanage home Ihalumona . The assorted food items is wonderful. We thank our mother for providing these gifts to  children".     Pastor Emmanuel Ugwu. Place of hope orphanage.Opi. " We are grateful to them for remembering children with bags of rice and cartons of essential commodities".     
Mrs Unchenna Ugwuanyi. Motherless babies home. Onuiyi. " I am grateful for the gifts from  Wife of Governor, Chairman and his wife . May God give them life in abundance".                                     
Among those who attended the occasion were the PDP (BOT member) Ambassador Mrs Justina Eze, PDP Chairman Nsukka LGA.  Hon Fabian Onah, Igwe George  Asadu, Wives of Enugu State Government Officials, Women groups, school children and other stakeholders in Nsukka.
