Verification of Igwe elect is essential for peace .......... Barr Emeka Okeke

During the verification of Chief Ozoemena Orah as the Traditional ruler elect of Ado- Achi community in Oji  River LGA    

The Enugu state commissioner for Chieftaincy matters. Barr. Emeka Okeke explained that verification is done to confirm conduct of elections.

“ We came to confirm that the election was truly conducted. It is better for the people to elect their Traditional ruler. Government of Rt.Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has interest and  respect for communities. That is why we reach out to discover needs of the communities inorder to provide solutions. So Government encourage communities to have traditional rulers inorder to benefit from development projects.                   Now the people have accepted Chief Ozoemena Orah as their Igwe elect. So I promise to prepare report for the recognition”.

Meanwhile President General of Ado- Achi community Ogbuefi Christian Chukwukelu has this to say.

“ After election we invited the ministry to meet our people to  verify the exercise. To find out whether it was true or not. That is why they are here”

Also a community leader  Nze R.C Udeh expressed his gratitude.

“ Hon. Commissioner I thank you for leaving your busy schedule to attend to us. the Governor is the saviour of the poor. So we will give him our vote in the election”.

Responding the Traditional ruler elect of Ado- Achi community Chief Sunday Ozoemena Orah speaks.

“ I thank my commissioner. I remember he asked me if I am ready to take responsibility of Igwe and I said yes. So thank God for making it possible.  My people are great, strong in faith and belief.   We have overcome crisis, now we live in peace and understanding. I am grateful to my people for leaving the Eke market day  to come and support me. I promise to serve my people with dedication. I commend  Gov Ugwuanyi for remembering and uplifting the poor. We shall continue to support his administration”
