Igwe elect Chief Simon Ugwu verified at Agbamere-Ehalumona Community

Following due process in a transparent manner to elect Traditional rulers is necessary to prevent conflicts in the communities. The Enugu state Commissioner for Chieftaincy matters.              Barr Emeka Okeke disclosed this at the verification of Chief Simon Ugwu as Traditional ruler elect of Agbamere- Ehalumona community in Nsukka LGA, on 17/09/2018 .     

The Commissioner explained that Communities that have Traditional rulers will benefit from Government rural development projects. 

Speaking on the screening and selection process the President-General of Agbamere- community.    Dr. Emmanuel Eze said the election was conducted without crisis. According to him the people demonstrated their wish to have an Igwe by massively and unanimously electing the Traditional ruler of Agbamere Kingdom.

While expressing gratitude Igwe elect of Agbamere-Ehalumona community                    Chief Sunday Ugwu thanked the people for their goodwill and support. He promised to serve with wisdom for welfare of the community. 

The event featured the presence of Community leaders, Women groups, youths, traders and other stakeholders in the area.
